When is the election?
In early December, our previous school board member, Rachna Sizemore Heizer, was elected to the county board of supervisors--which created a vacancy on the school board. I'm proud to have Rachna's endorsement.
The special election for her seat will be Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Early voting starts January 16th--and we need your help to get the word out.
The deadline to register for the election is February 20, and the deadline to apply for an absentee by-mail ballot is January 30. You can learn more here.
On January 10th, we earned the Democratic Endorsement, with 75% of the vote.
Am I eligible to vote in a Braddock election?
First, you can see if you live in the Braddock District, here: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/myneighborhood/. The School Board has one representative from each of the nine Magisterial Districts, plus three at-large members.
